Begin
Tell me about the two of you.
Just enough to start — your name, a number, a date if you have one. None of this is binding, and the details can wait for our first real conversation.
A note on photographers
My weddings come with a photographer I trust — their knowledge of the canyon is part of what you are paying for. You can bring your own, but I'll want to meet them first.
Questions
- Do I have to use one of your photographers?
- Not strictly. Most of my couples do, because the day moves better that way and the photographer becomes part of the team. If you have your own photographer in mind, I will want to interview them — knowing the canyon, knowing the rules, and knowing how to move on cliffs all matter to me, and they should matter to you.
- How many weddings do you take a year?
- Few. I have to say no to most enquiries to keep saying yes well. The ones I say yes to get the full thing.
- Can we get married just the two of us?
- Yes — and honestly, that is my favourite. Two people, sometimes their kids, no audience to perform for. The witnesses I need for the certificate I can find in the parking lot.
- What if it is cold? What if it is hot?
- I bring a box for both. The cold one has hand warmers, ice spikes, slip-on dress shoes, and a faux-fur cape in your size. The warm one has cooling neck wraps and a wasp-sting vial. I check the weather the night before and pack accordingly.
- Are you religious?
- I am spiritual by default. I can dial that all the way down to nothing if you would prefer a ceremony with no woo at all, and the words will still be beautiful.
- Where are you based?
- Northern Arizona. I work the Grand Canyon almost exclusively, with occasional weddings at other locations across the state.
